This happens today over WhatsApp with no context, no structure, and no follow-through. We built Howie to give that process the product it deserves.
Howie is a social matchmaking platform. You browse the network of people around you, find someone you want to meet, and ask a mutual contact to introduce you. The three of you start a group conversation. Once you are both comfortable, the introducer steps out and you continue 1-on-1. Every introduction begins with context, not a cold open.
Howie is not a dating app. There is no swiping, no anonymous matching, no gamified feed. Howie is not a matrimony site. There is no filtering by height or salary, no resume-based shortlisting. Howie is for people who are serious about finding a life partner and understand that the best path there runs through people who already know them.
Howie is built for urban Indians between 26 and 35 who are working professionals ready for something serious. Every member is here with intent — that is not an assumption, it is a declaration made at onboarding. Membership is by invite only, so the community stays high-trust.
